Benefit Programs

Health Insurance

After 13 weeks of employment, Fisher Industries pays the premium for the employee. The employee's family can also apply, but payment of the premium is the responsibility of the employee.

After one year of service, Fisher Industries pays 100% of the insurance premium for the employee and his/her family.

Employees receiving Davis Bacon Health and Welfare will be responsible for their total health insurance premium. To the top.


After the first year of employment, employees accrue up to one week of vacation (five days). During the second year of employment, employees acrue up to two weeks of vacation. After the 10th year of employment, employees accrue up to three weeks of vacation; and after the 20th year of employment, employees accrue up to four weeks of vacation.To the top.


Fisher Industries has established seven days as holidays. Generally, operations cease and facilities are closed on these days:

  • New Year's Day
  • Memorial Day
  • Independence Day (July 4)
  • Labor Day
  • Thanksgiving Day
  • Friday After Thanksgiving
  • Christmas Day

Full Time Employees are paid for the holiday in the week that the holiday occurs.

Seasonal and Temporary Employees receive the equivalent of 7 days per year added to their checks, prorated per hours worked.To the top.

Sick Leave

    Sick leave accumulates as follows:

    • 1st Year - One (1) day for every 10 working weeks to a maximum of five (5) days.

    • 2nd Year - Two (2) days for every 10 working weeks to a maximum of ten (10) days.

    • 3rd Year - Three (3) days for every 10 working weeks to a maximum of fifteen (15) days.To the top.

    Life Insurance

    Fisher Industries offers a $25,000 paid term life insurance policy to all employees. New employees are eligible for term life insurance on January 1 of the year following their initial employment date.To the top.


    New employees become eligible for the non-matching program after completing 13 weeks of employment.To the top.

    Profit Sharing

    A new employee becomes a participant in the plan January 1 of the year following their initial employment date. They participate each successive year in which they are employed on December 31 of that year.To the top.
